Adoption Process

0. Visit our dogs webpages to meet the dogs available for adoption.

1. Fill out our online adoption application.

2. Our first priority is the welfare of each of our dogs. We will choose the home that we feel is the best match for each dog's personality and needs..We are a very small group with only a handful of volunteers. We have multiple dogs in our care, and our volunteers also have full-time 9-5 jobs. So please be patient.

3. If the volunteer feels you may be a good match for the dog, A volunteer will interview you over the phone or email you, and they will arrange a time / place for you to meet the dog.

4. Meet the foster dog at a pre-determined time / place. This is called a "meet-n-greet", we prefer all family members be there, if at all possible.

5. If the meet-n-greet goes well, we will arrange to do a home visit at a later date / time that is convenient for everyone.

6. Sometimes, we will arrange to do the final adoption paperwork at the same time as your home visit. This decision is up to the individual foster parents. We do not like to rush adoptions, so we will usually ask for a few days, to give everyone time to make their final decision.

We reserve the right to deny any application at any time and for any reason, if we feel the best interest of the dog will not be served.
